IE on the Web: Master Programs:
International MBA IE’s full-time MBA runs for 13 months, from November to December of the following year. The IMBA 2007 intake comprises 91.5% international students and 57 nationalities. The program is divided into five modules and a pre-program covering quantitative methods and financial accounting. Typical courses include methodology subjects such as quantitative methods, presentation skills and case analysis, and courses covering typical business areas like organisational behaviour, economic environment, financial accounting and marketing. Entrepreneurial Studies is a compulsory course in both the first and second periods. The second period concentrates on the functional areas of business administration, and the third takes these to an advanced stage. In the third period special emphasis is placed on implementing actions and strategies in organisations. The third and fourth period cover world affairs. In the fifth period of the program students specialise in specific fields of business management including functional areas, skills development, and social and ethical awareness. The International MBA Program is a bilingual program, with the core program conducted in English and with electives in English or Spanish. Global MBA The Global MBA at IE is a blended program that runs for 18 months, using asynchronous online sessions and live interactive video sessions. Participants also attend blended sessions or community integration events at various locations including Shanghai, New York, London or Madrid. The program is run in English and the class profile of this programs currently comprises 27 nationalities and an average age of 30 years. International Executive MBA The IE International Executive MBA program is a thirteen-month program run in English. It is based on a blended format combining intensive in-person sessions in Madrid and Shanghai with periods of online learning and global team collaboration. In 2007, the average age of program participants was 36. The students originated from 26 different countries, were spread across five continents, and had diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Master in Management Programs IE Master in Management Programs comprise a series of degrees options:International Management, Marketing Management, Telecom & Digital Business and Biotechnology Management. The aggregate class profile of these programs currently comprises 38 nationalities, an average age of 25 years, 49% women, 51% men, an average of 2 years’ experience and students. The Master in Management Programs include periods abroad in cities that include Shanghai, London and Silicon Valley. IE Master in Management Programs partners are Accenture (global), Grupo Telecinco (marketing), Cisco, Nokia, and Telefónica (telecom & digital). Executive education programs Approximately 3,500 participants attend open and in-company program at IE Business School each year. The English edition of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) was created in 2003, and in 2004 the Global Senior Management Program (GSMP) was launched. The GSMP is a joint venture with the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. |
